Undergraduate
Dr. Bret Brennan (Dr. Bret) is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and attended Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC from 2006-2010. He Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Microbiology. During his time at Methodist, Dr. Bret played for the Methodist Monarchs Soccer team.
Medical School
Dr. Bret attended Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio from 2010-2014. He graduated in the top 10% of his class with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine.
Residency
Dr. Bret completed a three year Podiatric Surgical Residency at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa from 2014-2017. He also earned a certification in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Bret was published in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Journal for a Scientific literature review on the “Multidisciplinary Approach to Soft- Tissue Reconstruction of the Diabetic Charcot Foot”.

- Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery as well as Fellow of the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery
Personal
Along with being a lifelong soccer fan, Dr. Bret also enjoys running and playing ice hockey. Dr. Bret also enjoys working with his hands outside the operating room, designing and building furniture. Most importantly Dr. Bret’s favorite out of work pass time is spending quality time with his wife and two daughters. He understands the value in staying involved in what’s important to an individuals life and will work with his patients to either conservatively or surgically manage their foot and ankle problems.
