Lateral Ankle Stabilization
A lateral ankle stabilization is a surgery to keep you from spraining your ankle over and over again by tightening the outside of the ankle using the tendons of your foot and leg.
Repetitive ankle sprains cause the lateral ankle to become weakened.
You will wear a boot for four weeks of non weight bearing and then you will be able to walk with a boot for four more weeks. Total recovery is eight weeks.
